Hi! My name is Elliette. I’m a musician, filmmaker, and all-around creative explorer. I think art is the glue that holds the universe together. Science backs me up, too — it turns out, music lights up more parts of your brain than almost anything else. It’s like mental yoga, but way more fun. Whether it’s writing a song or telling a story through film, I’m fascinated by how art changes the way we think, feel, and live.
In my world, music isn’t just sound — it’s emotion you can hear. And film? It’s a magic trick that turns ideas into something tangible you can experience through the senses all at once. I love playing with both, mixing them together to create stories that make you laugh, cry, or maybe just stop and think for a second. My goal? To make you feel something real, because that’s what good art does — it connects us all in our weird, wonderful humanity.
Below are some recent creative projects of mine. I hope you find a little joy somewhere in them…

“Ebbinghaus Theory”
The Ebbinghaus Theory, also known as the Forgetting Curve, shows how new information we learn and experience tends to slip from our memory fairly quickly unless we actively fight to keep it. I co-wrote the lyrics and melody of this song with my bandmate Alani Brehse, and I produced the orchestration myself. I also shot, directed, and edited the music video. (I’m the one in sleeves.)
Live Performance Clips
A few excerpts from live performances with various collaborators over the past few years.
Recent clips of volunteer performances (both solo and with my bandmate Alani) at Mountain Valley Manor Nursing Home, a regular gig of ours singing ’50s songs to the senior residents as a way to play it forward. (First clip is from the holidays, when I made & handed out lyrics of classic carols for a holiday singalong!)
“What Is the Greatest Gift?”
This is an experimental film I created in IB Film my junior year. It is a modern ode to teenage friendship, based on Mary Oliver’s poem, “What Is the Greatest Gift?” I was the director, cinematographer, and editor.
“The Moon & the Sun:
Two Sides of the Same Song”
These are two original songs I recently wrote, performed, and produced as a solo artist (the second song starts at minute 4:00). Please excuse my old guitar, which refuses to stay in tune for long. I made this lyric visualizer with stock footage; edits are mine (not autogenerated).
Idyllwild Audition
My audition reel for Idyllwild Arts 2024 Summer Songwriting Intensive Program features three original songs. I was accepted into the 2-week program (which only had 20 spots) and had a wonderful experience attending via scholarship. Click here for lyrics.
Robotics Team Robot Reveal
This is a video I created to reveal our “RoboRaiders” team robot to the 2023-24 FTC (First Tech Challenge) Competition evaluators, challengers, and supporters. (Music is open source.)
